Buddika always remember the smile in the children’s eyes and nothing makes her happier than making a small child’s world happier. In 2014 July foundation organised the much eagerly awaited school excursion to Capital city of Colombo. Foundation, shoulder the responsibility of welfare and security. Back again 59th Regiment of Sri Lanka Army, extend their hand with Security and Shelter.
50 Students, their parents, teachers and the principal set off on the journey at 3:00 am leaving behind their birth city for the very first time in their lives. They reached Anuradhapura Army headquarters for breakfast. Children were given the opportunity to decide where they want to visit. They spend some time at Dehiwala Zoological Gardens, adding new experience to their lives. They experienced the city life of Galle Face Green at night and spent the night at Ratmalana Transit Camp. Next day morning they experienced the much sought train trip from Ratmalana to Colombo Fort, and visited the Colombo Harbour seeing for the very first time, what trains and ships are look alike. After visiting the independence square they returned back to their small village carrying a life time memory along with them.
